Curiosity Pointer collects only what is strictly necessary to operate the service:
Selected text is sent to our backend server, which forwards it to the Google Gemini API to generate a 2-sentence explanation. The text is not stored after the response is returned. Your email is used solely to identify your account and deliver the service.

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We do not control how they handle data beyond what we send them.
Your account data is stored in Supabase with industry-standard encryption. Your auth token is stored locally in your browser's extension storage, which is sandboxed and inaccessible to other extensions or websites. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.
Your account and usage data are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us.
Curiosity Pointer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
